One of the advantages of having a separate school for students in the 'middle years' is that they have the opportunity to take up elected leadership roles from Year 8, rather than waiting until their final year of school.
Year 8 students are elected to leadership roles by Middle School students and staff at the end of Year 7, to come into effect in the following year.
There are:
* two SRC leaders * two SRC assistant leaders * two sports leaders * eight House leaders (two per House)
In addition, the Middle School SRC (Student Representative Council) comprises of four representatives from Year 6 and four representatives from Year 7. The Year 8 SRC representatives lead the discussions and a member of staff guides the group.
There are also six Year 8 portfolio leaders - two for each portfolio:
* Charity * Social Action * Jewish Life and Zionism
