The House system is a fundamental aspect of daily life in the Middle School.

Each of the four Houses - Akiva, Ezra, Herzl and Hillel - has a Middle School House Patron who is responsible for planning and coordinating House activities and for encouraging active participation in activities.

All Middle School students are encouraged and expected to participate in House activities.  All House activities and carnivals contribute to the awarding of the House trophy to the winning House at the end of each academic year.

There are an evergrowing number of House activities which the students may participate in.  These include:

  • Athletics Carnival
  • Basketball
  • Cake Decorating
  • Catapult Making
  • Cross Country Carnival
  • Jewish Studies Quizzes
  • Netball
  • Ready, Steady, Cook
  • Rocket Building
  • Swimming Carnival
  • Talent Quest
  • Tapauwai
  • Volleyball
  • Yom Ha'atzmaut Mini Maccabiah

House activities are an integral aspect of the Middle School in assisting to create identity and build both House and school spirit.

It is through active participation in House activities that students demonstrate commitment to and love of their school.
