Wellbeing

The Wellbeing program at Moriah College is based on the premise that students have the right to learn in a friendly, encouraging, secure, supportive and enriching environment.

Our Code of Conduct ensures that these basic rights are upheld and aims to give our students a positive sense of self-esteem leading to a sense of:

  • identity
  • achievement
  • self-worth
  • mutual respect

Students learn:

  • to take responsibility for themselves, and, sometimes others
  • to develop the skills of problem-solving
  • join decision making
  • conflict resolution

Teachers encourage positive behaviour and will implement positive consequences.

The Primary School has dedicated psychologists who work with staff, students and parents to address specific needs. The psychologists are involved in assessing students, counselling parents and students and organising workshops on a wide range of topics.
