Invitation – The Belfer Oration in the History of Jewish Philosophy (30 June)
The Notre Dame Centre for the History of Philosophy together with The Great Synagogue Sydney cordially invite you to attend The John and Anna Belfer Oration in the History of Jewish Philosophy.
The inaugural lecture in this new annual series, generously endowed by the Belanna Trust, will be delivered by Rabbi Dr Benjamin Elton on the topic ‘The First Rabbinic Philosopher: Saadia Gaon (882-942)’.
The John and Anna Belfer Oration will be launched by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and will feature a special performance by the Choir of The Great Synagogue conducted by Daniel Rojas.

Einsteinz Music Playgroup
JH kids is welcoming a special host to its playgroup, and this month it's Einsteinz Music. They will provide a fun, educational, and hands-on music program for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2-5).

Shalom Collective invites the community to Recollections, an immersive and deeply moving exhibition by internationally renowned Israeli multimedia artist Dor Zlekha Levy.
Coinciding with Vivid Sydney (23 May – 14 June 2025) at forumprojects Gallery, Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, Recollections invites audiences into the rich, resonant histories of Mizrachi and Sephardi Jewish communities, stories too often left untold.

JH Kids Winter School Holiday Program
Join us at JH Kids for two special Winter Holiday Workshops for children in Kindergarten to Year 2. Each session is packed with movement, music, and creativity – with trusted facilitators who make it all fun!
Day 1: Wednesday 9 July
Flying Yogis: Movement, mindfulness, and fun
Day 2: Wednesday 16 July
Soul Drumming: Rhythm and energy in a playful 45-minute workshop
LEGO Building: Creative free play and construction with endless possibilities

Tiny Hands Big Skills
Tiny Hands Big Skills is an occupational therapy-led fine motor group that helps children build essential skills for success at preschool and primary school. Through fun activities like cutting, drawing, and craft, children strengthen their hand muscles, coordination, and confidence with pre-writing skills.
