Meet Our New College Vice Captains

David Blau and Leila Freedman

Hi,

We are the College Vice Captains and JLZ Captains for 2018/19, David Blau and Leila Freedman. For the first time in Moriah’s 75 years, the  Vice Captain and JLZ portfolios have been merged to form one portfolio that combines the duties of both positions. In our roles, and both having spent the entirety of our school careers at Moriah College, we feel proud and committed to continue our school’s legacy by striving to enhance and interweave the secular and Jewish aspects of our College. Our aim for the year is to achieve this through the implementation of new initiatives and activities with the rest of the leadership team. This goal comes as a direct reflection of our college ethos, values, and ideology, where the purpose is to create a joint atmosphere where a focus is equally placed on Jewish and secular education.

We would love to hear any idea’s for different initiatives and activities! Please do not hesitate to contact us at: david.blau@student.moriah.nsw.edu.au, leila.freedman@student.moriah.nsw.edu.au

David - Fun Fact: I am a triplet (my brother, Matthew, was featured last week and you will hear from my sister, Sarah, in the coming weeks).

Leila - Fun Fact: In the 2011 Capital Appeal, I played the youngest daughter in the Fiddler on the Roof section of the concert.
