Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a globally recognised mark of achievement that is highly valued by employers. This fun and exciting challenge for participating students demonstrates a variety of desirable traits and skills; commitment, resilience, leadership, teamwork, respect and determination.
At Moriah, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award (DofE) has gained tremendous momentum in recent years with record numbers of students participating, making our College one of the largest award units in the country.
To achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award, participants must complete four sections:
- Physical Recreation
- Service
- Skill
- Adventurous Journeys
At Gold level, participants must also complete a Residential Project; a five-day, four-night voluntary activity where the participant stays away from home to work towards a shared goal with other people. For information about the award, please visit their website: dukeofed.com.au
