Applications for the next Sydney Jewish Museum Youth Committee are now open!

The Sydney Jewish Museum Youth Committee (SJMYC) is made up of a diverse group students from across NSW that engages with the Museum in a variety of ways.
Members of this committee have the unique opportunity to make a difference and use their voice to make a better world.
We are looking for enthusiastic young people in Years 9-12 or undertaking an undergraduate university course to join the SJMYC. There are no prerequisites to apply.
Members of the SJMYC perform the following roles:
Act as an ambassador for the Sydney Jewish Museum, promoting its work on morality, social justice, democracy and human rights and embodying its corresponding core values. Partake in unique behind-the-scenes experiences that arise as part of different SJM projects (e.g. meeting with Survivors, testing new technologies, handling new artefacts)
Brainstorm ideas for temporary exhibitions, education programs, education resources and commemorative events from a youth perspective.
Discuss relevant current affairs issues and the SJM’s response to such issues.

The Nadav Project

Shalom is excited to launch The Nadav Project, a program that will appeal to 13- 15 year old students at Moriah. Aiming at increasing financial literacy in a Jewish context, for B’nei Mitzvah teens alongside their parents. Alongside our network of financial gurus, we have created a series of four workshops integrating Jewish thought, ethics and wisdom with the most up-to-date financial advice and practical investing tools. Young adults will become empowered to earn profits and invest their money intelligently while gaining a rich understanding of the Jewish values surrounding impactful giving. This intergenerational program is in partnership with the Social Impact Hub and supported by Stand Up as a next step to their B’nei Mitzvah program Step Up.
